The Augustus Jane Inn has a cozy and relaxing ambiance and strikes a perfect balance between simple home-felt comfort and convenience.
Our location is ideal, situated downtown along the ocean in Rocky Harbour, the hub of Gros Morne National Park. Our accommodations are spacious, clean, and provide everything you need to enjoy your stay in Gros Morne National Park. The Inn has been a long-term project for our family and certainly it has been work from the heart. The Inn is locally owned and operated by myself, Otto, and my wife Barbara who are local to the area. The name was adapted from my late parents who I am very proud to allow their names to live on through this endeavour. We are very excited to see this passion project come to fruition and to be able to share our love of the area with all of you. We are more than happy to share any information we can to add to your experience of this beautiful area that we get the pleasure of calling home.

The Inn has numerous amenities and services to make your stay in Gros Morne a pleasurable one - featuring a 5 star Canada Select rating we offer impeccable oversized accommodations, a complimentary continental breakfast bar, free wifi, air conditioned rooms, a common area for guests, around the clock tea/coffee, grab-and-go snacks and baked goods. We have recieved lots of positive feedback about the complimentary breakfast bar and people love the fresh baked bread, muffins, banana bread, and waffles prepared on site by my wife - you won't be hungry when you leave to go exploring!
All staff are local and highly versed in the area and we are here for anything you need to know about the area ensure your travel experience here in Gros Morne National Park is a positive one. We are situated in prime location on the waterfront in Rocky Harbour where all the local amenities are within walking distance and the view of the unforgettable sunsets are just outside your window. Across the street you can dip your toes in the salt water, enjoy a beachfire and a mussel boil, or just take a relaxing oceanside stroll to unwind and enjoy the natural beauty of the area (and the gorgeous sunsets).
Gros Morne mountain is visible from our location and the entry point to the climb is about 7.5km away. The local visitor centre is a 5 minute drive where you can obtain all the information you need about Gros Morne National Park. The adjacent town is Norris Point where you can take in boat tours, impeccable views of Bonne Bay, go sea kayaking, and catch a view of the world renowned Tablelands.
